The Kardashians, a family known to keep life interesting did nothing less than with their promotional video for their new season. The show sampled Kanye West’s Runaway in the new promotional video. Not only did this choice in song clearly display the adversity the family faced in the upcoming season, but it also gave Kanye West fans a reason to, if not watch the show this season, watch the promotional video. This gave the show a chance at a new set of eyes and possible new connected viewsers. This video currently has over a whopping 3.3 million views and counting. The show maximized this opportunity to a point where everyone wins and had an effect on someone. The song for the promotional video had such an effect that you would see in later episodes a former boyfriend of one of the sisters complaining to Kanye about using the particular song. Kanye’s song did exactly what it was supposed to do. The song created dimension and added color to the video, the song was on par with the emotional state of the video. The song did all those things including adding opportunity for new viewership and exposure. In my opinion, it would be best for them to keep up with the music and continue to offer multiple audiences something different.
