The biggest mistake a marketing professional can make is misreading their consumer, or not identifying who their consumer is. Pharrell, a musical genius but also a savvy businessman has found a way to reach all people, literally everyone. Pharrell’s collection with Adidas called Hu or Human Race is a collab catering to all humans with each collaborating drop focusing more and more on the global issues we face today. In his most recent drop ‘Now Is Her Time” he focuses on all women and the issues we face. One image in particular from the campaign went viral. The photo-focused on a woman breastfeeding her baby in a traditional Adidas Tracksuit. Needless to say, the collaboration has sold out and people aka Humans patiently await his next drop.
